REASSEMBLY (CONT)
12 Apply sealing compound (item 10, appx C) to
threads of capscrew (18) and two setscrews (19).
NOTE
Ensure setscrew holes in pivot and
bracket are properly aligned.
13 Install pivot (20), capscrew (18), and two setscrews
(19).
14 Apply sealing compound (item 10, appx C) to
threads of six screws (21).
15 Join gear assembly (22) and housing (23). Install
ring spacer (24) and six screws (21).
16 Apply a coat of aircraft grease (item 7, appx C) to
new preformed packing (25).
17 Install bearing (26), new preformed packing (25) and
retainer (27) on worm shaft (28).
18 If necessary, drill and ream retainer (27) and worm
shaft (28). Install pin (29). Refer to TM 9-254.
