CAP ASSEMBLY, ELECTRON TUBE AND COLLAR INSTALLATION

0-36 VDC power supply
TOOLS: 0.035" and 1/16" socket head screw key (Allen wrench or equivalent)
Sealing compound ( item 8, App. A)

EQUIPMENT CONDITION: Infrared body assembly on work bench, power off
Procedure
Do not expose electron tube (1) to sunlight. Install
collar (2) on electron tube (1).
NOTE
Silvered end of electron tube must be installed first.
Install electron tube (1) in infrared body assembly (3).
Line up single guide pin in eyepiece assembly (4) with single slot in infrared body assembly
(3).
While holding infrared body assembly, push in on eyepiece assembly (4) and turn
clockwise.
Put a small amount of sealing compound on the threads of two setscrews (5).
Using 1/16" Allen wrench, install two setscrews (5).
Install cap assembly (6) and gasket (7) (para 6-17, steps 10 and 11).
