a. Removal/Disassembly - continued
Remove two machine screws (39) and two lock-

washers (40) from contact assembly (41 ). Discard
Remove two machine screws (42), two lock-

washers (43), and retaining strap (44). Discard
Iockwashers.
Remove contact assembly (41).

Remove three machine screws (45), three lock-

washers (46), and housing (47). Discard lock-
washers.
b. Repair

Remove corrosion, grease, and dirt from all parts.
Refer to TM 9-254 for cleaning instructions.
2 Visually inspect for missing or damaged parts.
Repair or replace parts in accordance with author-

ized parts listed in appendix D.
c. Assembly/installation

Install housing (47) on upper housing (48) and se-
cure with three new Iockwashers (46) and three
machine screws (45).
Install contact assembly (41) on upper housing (48)

and secure with two new Iockwashers (40) and two
machine screws (39).

Install contact assembly (41) in housing (47) and
secure with retaining strap (44), two new lock-
washers (43), and two machine screws (42).
Install two tubes (35) into holder (37) and plug (34).

Install electrical lead (28) and wire (31) in holder
(37) with raised brass portion facing outward.
