INFRARED BODY ASSEMBLY PURGING A N D C H A R G I N G ( C O N T )

Procedure
Turn valve (1) fully counterclockwise.
Turn tank valve (2) counterclockwise until reading on high pressure gage (3) is greater than
100 psi (JPG).
Using screwdriver, remove screw (4) from infrared body assembly (5).
Using wrench, remove cap (6) of purge valve (7).
Connect free end of hose assembly (8) to purge valve (7) of infrared body assembly (5).
Turn valve (1) slowly clockwise until reading on low pressure gage (9) is 5 psi.
Wait 5 minutes. Turn valve (1) slowly counterclockwise until reading on low pressure gage
(9) is 1 psi.
Using screwdriver, install screw (4) into infrared body assembly (5).
Check infrared body assembly (5) for leaks (JPG). If leaks are found, fault isolate leaks
Wait two minutes. Turn tank valve (2) fully clockwise.
Turn valve (1) fully counterclockwise.
Remove hose assembly (8) from purge valve (7).
Check valve core (10) for leaks (JPG). If valve core (10) leaks, repair valve (para 6-24 and
repeat purge and charge.
Using wrench, replace cap (6) to purge valve (7).
NOTE
FOLLOW-ON MAINTENANCE:
Do purging and charging shutdown procedure (JPG).
