Inspect window (6) for dirt, fungus, or condensation which may

Inspect elevation knob (7) for smooth operation without binding

lint, cracked lenses, or condensed moisture.
Inspect azimuth knob (10) for smooth operation through full range

Inspect gunner's aid knob (11) to be sure that it does not bind.
