If eyepiece is not properly aligned, it will not lock into
binocular.

Once in the binocular, rotate the eyepiece (4) clockwise and release the
eyepiece lock (3). Continue rotating until the lock snaps into the
locking detent. A firm click will be discerned when eyepiece locks.
